2026 Healing Mission to Guatemala

Registration is Open | 70 Spots Remaining | Cost: $2,495

Be a part of releasing the transforming power of the Holy Spirit across the nation of Guatemala, November 3–10, 2026! For the first time, Encounter Missions is stepping into Guatemala and we know the Lord is going to move powerfully! This November, we will send 72 missionaries into parishes and schools across the country to minister the healing love of Jesus and to equip the local Church to move in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Mission Details

  • Mission Teams - For the first four (4) days of the mission, we are sending six (6) teams of twelve (12) missionaries to six different regions throughout Guatemala. Each team will be composed of a Team Leader, Team Co-Leader, Priest, and nine (9) missionaries.
  • Ministry Opportunities - During the day, teams will be engaged in street evangelization and visiting and praying with the homebound. In the evenings, teams will facilitate healing services at local parishes and host youth revival events in their specific regional area.
  • Retreat - After our four days of active ministry are complete, all six teams will gather in Atitlan, Guatemala for a two-day, Spirit-filled retreat to receive spiritual renewal and rest, grow in fellowship, and celebrate what the Lord has done.
  • Retreat Opportunities - Rooted in the Sacraments through Daily Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, and Confession, we will worship, reflect, and share testimony, celebrate the Lord’s work throughout Guatemala, explore sites of natural beauty and cultural significance, and share meals and powerful moments of fellowship with fellow missionaries.

What's Included

From the moment you clear customs in Guatemala to the moment we head back to the airport, we have you covered.

  • Lodging: Double occupancy rooms — think your standard hotel stay. Bed, bathroom, shower, the works.
  • Transportation: All ground transportation throughout your time in Guatemala.
  • Food and Clean Water: We know that being in a foreign country can bring some anxiety around food and water access. We will provide all your meals, late-night snacks (we see you), and purified water throughout the trip.
  • Mission Materials: Everything you need for your assigned area of ministry.
  • 2-Day Retreat: At the close of our mission days, we will gather for rest, fellowship, prayer, the sacraments, and yes, more snacks.
  • Travel Insurance: Every missionary will be fully covered for the duration of their time in Guatemala.
  • Encounter Missions T-Shirt: We know this is what sealed the deal for you.

What's NOT Included

  • Flights: Since missionaries are joining us from all over the world, we are not able to procure flights at a uniform cost. You will be responsible for your own airfare to and from Guatemala, in addition to the mission trip cost.
  • Souvenir Money: If you would like to bring something home from your time on mission, plan to set aside a little extra for that.

Fundraising

Here is a handy-dandy fundraising guide we put together for you! We know this is a sacrifice, and we want to honor that! Please do not let the cost keep you from saying yes. Through our fundraising platform, every missionary receives a personalized fundraising page that you can customize and share with those you feel led to invite into partnership with you. Fundraising is not about you, it's about the Lord. For many people, the Lord is not calling them to the mission field directly. For some, the way He calls them to mission is through financial support of those who are going. What a beautiful way to invite others into the mission alongside you. Do not be afraid to ask. The opportunity you extend may be exactly what your friend/family member/coworker/neighbor has been waiting for. Let's not rob anyone of the chance to bless others!
